Sparkle with the Sirena Earrings FREE Bead Embroidery Tutorial

There’s something magical about combining shimmer, texture, and colour in bead embroidery. My latest YouTube tutorial takes you step by step through creating the Sirena Earrings, a sparkling pair of bead embroidered earrings featuring Czech glass, rhinestone cup chain, and seed beads.

Whether you’re brand new to bead embroidery or already love stitching with beads, this project is a beautiful way to expand your skills while making a piece of jewellery you’ll treasure.

About the Design

The Sirena Earrings are light-catching and elegant, inspired by the movement of water and seashell curves. They feature:

  • A Czech glass etched swirl shell bead as the focal.

  • Sparkling rhinestone cup chain

  • Seed beads stitched into a neat edging and finished with picots for a beautiful finished edge

This combination makes them versatile you can dress them up for a special occasion or wear them every day too

What You’ll Learn in the Tutorial

In the video, I guide you through:

  • Stitching your focal bead securely to the felt foundation

  • Learn how to use rhinestone cup chain in your bead embroidery

  • Adding seed beads using a four bead back stitch

  • Finishing the earrings and learning how to add your earring findings

The tutorial is beginner friendly but has enough detail to keep experienced beaders inspired too.

Materials You’ll Need

To make the Sirena Earrings, you’ll need:

  • Czech glass disk shaped, etched swirl shell beads (or a similar focal)

  • Rhinestone cup chain

  • Seed beads in size 11

  • Bead embroidery foundation

  • Backing like ultrasuede, beading thread, and earring findings, I used the fish hook style earring findings.

I always recommend playing with colour, the design really shines when you experiment with different bead combinations.
