I am honoured and very excited to be invited as permanent ambassador for International Beading Week this year. And there is much to be celebrated this year for IBW. Two of my fellow Aussie beaders are also on the Ambassador team, Joanne Ivy from Cranberry Beads and Meg Thompson from A Beaded World. I am thrilled to be on the journey with Jo and Meg and can't wait to share all we have coming up for IBW.
International Beading Week (IBW) is open each year to everyone who has a passion for beadwork or who would like to learn more about this creative art form. Wherever you are in the world you can get involved for FREE!
The IBW theme for 2024 is 'Celebrations', commencing Saturday 27th July to Sunday 4th August.
We are celebrating 25 years of The Beadworkers Guild and bringing beaders together. There will be lots of activities for you to enjoy including twelve FREE online Drop-in sessions, a Beaders Gift Exchange, and of course, lots of FREE beading patterns for you to enjoy, including new celebratory designs from a selection of designers from around the world.
The Beadworkers Guild will continue to update the IBW pages as new information arrives, so keep checking back for further updates.
